What material to choose?
Hardwoods: like maple, sapele, and walnut offer the best beauty and visual quality. They offer a rich depth of color and natural grain patterns that make it piece of art to look at.
Birch Plywood: A great choice for value and still offers the unique design and pattern The edges of birch plywood are layered and look different than hardwood. Some people really like the layered pattern of the birch plywood, others prefer the hardwood patterns.
Acrylic: A great choice for dark settings or venues where you want an illuminated piece. The acrylic can be frosted or clear. It interacts with light well and you can point spotlights, LED's or other lights to it. You can add your own lights directly onto the piece, or we can add lights to the piece upon custom request.
Painted: We can also make these from MDF and paint almost any color. Flat, satin, gloss, paints, metallic and pearl as well. Also we can do special paints like glow in the dark. Please contact us for your paint request.
IMPORTANT:
Woods are a natural material. They have different features like grain patterns, knots, and color variation. Although we do avoid major wood defects like cracks or holes, please be aware that there may be natural wood features in your piece. Also wood can change color over time. A freshly finished part may get lighter or darker over time due to oxygen, solar, and temperature exposure.
